***This event turned out to be more popular than anticipated, so more spots have been added. Please register for future events at the Vegan Yarn Store. Thank you for supporting this female-owned, local, small business :)
🧶Delve into yarn therapy with this super easy knitting lesson! This workshop is aimed at beginners & those looking to refresh or advance their skills.
If you attend our workshop on April 14 & would like to refresh or advance your learning, please select the 'Continued Learning' ticket. You will receive a pair of circular knitting needles & will learn new stitches & techniques to create your own projects. Please remember to bring your t-shirt yarn from your previous class or buy a spool from us.
If you are attending for the first time or do not already have our Knit Kit, please select the 'Knit Kit + 1st Workshop' ticket. You will learn the foundation stitches & more. ⚠️ It is important to buy the Knit Kit if you don't already have it.
The Knit Kit has been specifically created to enhance the learning experience. Previously we have offered the option to bring your own tools, but the learning journey was clearly impacted. So all lessons are now carried out with our Knit Kit.
Suitable for adults & children, 10 years & up. Younger children may attend if accompanied by an adult.
Before arrival please note the correct date, time & location of your booking. There may be changes but you will always be notified by email. The website will always be up to date with the correct information.
This will be a facilitated workshop in a supportive & nurturing environment. Everyone can feel comfortable to move at their own pace. As everyone has different learning styles - along with group demonstrations, individual attention will also be given to those feeling unsure.
What to bring:
Your workshop registration email - digital is fine
Water bottle - keep hydrated!
A supervising adult if you have had less than 10 trips around the sun :)
Our beginner friendly Knit Kit includes:
1x 700gms spool of t-shirt yarn
1x pair of bamboo knitting needles to match the yarn
Yarn cutter
20x stitch markers
2x yarn needle - for sewing together separate pieces
1x portable yarn holder - so you knit on the go
1x zippered pouch to protect your small tools
1x tote bag to hold & transport your craft goodies
50% of proceeds (not profits, but revenue) from the sale of the tote bags will be donated to Australian Alliance for Animals.
